Flushing Shelter Happenings
Its been a busy week here at the shelter. Crystal has been on a well-deserved vacation and everyone has stepped up to the plate in her absence. All of the staff has been doing a great job. She'll be surprised at how many new dogs we have when she gets back in a few days!!!
We have a few dogs who haven't made it to the website yet, as they are awaiting spay/neuter appointments. We have 2 Senior Chihuahuas who I would like to tell you about. Hazel is 10 years old and Hagar is 8 years old. They came in together, but we had to separate them because they had not been spayed or neutered! Paola (our wonderful Vet Tech) did their bloodwork and the next step is to get them spayed/neutered and dental work done. It also looks as if they have never had their teeth cleaned.
We don't believe that these two are so bonded that they need to stay together. They seem to have strong personalities of their own and seem to do best without each other. If you, or anyone you know, is interested in adopting a senior Chihuahua please give us a call! -Beau.
