Just 30 minutes away from Valentine's Day

As i sit before my computer just mins away from Valentine’s Day i thought i needed to make my first blog entry. While i write this i have one dog sleeping next to me, one sleeping in her bed and the third (yes ok i have 3) sleeping in her arms. Our cat has settled into her favorite spot in our dinning room for the night. Everyone in the apt is sleeping and i count my blessings to have so much love in my life from my animals and some amazing people. I can't help but think of the thousands of animals that are wishing for a night just like this; A bed to snuggle in; A mom or dad stroking their head while they sleep; A loving forever home. We have an opportunity today and every day to remember the unconditional love that our animals give us. So i hope while you share this day of love with the two and four legged creatures that love you, consider those not as fortunate. Create a day of random acts of kindness. Hold a door, give up a seat, or tell someone how much you appreciate them. Then take a moment and email your friends and family about a dog or cat at animal haven that needs a home, sponsor a special needs pet, volunteer an hour to walk a dog, or make a donation to help us help those creatures that can't help themselves.
