| We
love to hear about the wonderful new lives of former Animal Haven animals.
We think visitors to our website or people thinking of adopting a pet
from Animal Haven would love to hear their stories. These "happy tails"
testify that shelter-adopted animals make great pets! |

We adopted Hope in January 2008, she was 7 years old. When she first came home she was a scared little girl probably because of all her time spent at the puppy mill she was rescued from. Thankfully it only took a few hours for her to know this was her home. That night she found her bed and slept like an angel. About two months have passed and she is doing amazing. She gets along great with her new companion Louie the Maltese. She loves to play, watch TV and receive belly rubs. She now has a new life with a new family who loves her very much. We cannot thank the staff at Animal Haven enough for allowing us to bring home such a special little girl.
| I adopted Maxie from Animal Haven almost four years ago, and its been an adventure ever since! She has warmed all people's lives she has been a part of and is a truly kind soul. We recently moved to North Carolina and Max is enjoying her new space where she has plenty of room to run and play and hang out with Scott and me. She rules the house too! Max is certainly the best addition to our family and has brought so much joy to our lives!!
Thank you Animal Haven, Melissa and Scott |

Camus (formerly Machito) moved from Animal Haven in Flushing to our home in Boston, MA this fall, and he's fit right in to the family. He even had his own stocking on Christmas morning! It was a new experience for Camus to walk in snow deeper than his chest when Boston got a storm a few weeks ago, but he's quickly becoming a true New Englander! He's learning a lot from his brother Nietzsche, who's only a little taller as a Rat Terrier but who has mastered many winters.
| One
year ago this week, George arrived in our lives. Back
then his name was Owen (now his middle name) and he'd had a rough few
months. So had we-two months earlier, Teri's father passed away, leaving
a sense of emptiness that seemed impossible to fill. Her dad was the
impulsive sort who loved to surprise his daughters with dogs. No special
occasion required -Mastiffs, Cocker Spaniels, any number of breeds would
appear on random weeknights and his girls would have a new four legs
to love. One night last September, Teri said to me, "I think we need a dog." It was a way to honor her dad's memory. After a few weeks, we found "Owen's" picture on the Animal Haven website. Introductions were made at a van adoption event in Soho. There was never any question that we'd found our little guy. We changed his name to George (like the monkey, and just as curious!) and welcomed him to our home one week later. George proved to be the sweetest, most loving companion we could have asked for. An instant lover of other dogs, people, and attention in general, he's perhaps the worst watchdog in Manhattan; he charms everything that walks in our door. What a difference a year makes. On Saturday, October 13th, Teri and I are getting married and we've made a donation to Animal Haven to sponsor van adoption events in hopes that others can meet their own "George." After twelve months together, it's impossible to imagine what we'd do without him. Thanks to Animal Haven for bringing us all together! Casey, Teri and George |

Here's
my pup Dillon...formerly Cracker Jack. He's
been so much fun and is really smart. He's probably the most
popular dog in the neighborhood and he knows it. He's constantly
looking for attention! Everyone asks me where I got him and
if there are any more puppies like him available. Thanks
for rescuing him! |
||
| We
adopted Wrigley (formerly Guppie) in January when
she was four months old. She was instantly at home with us, and she
has grown into the greatest (and prettiest!) dog -- she's so friendly
and gentle with everyone, grownups and kids, and is great with other
dogs. We have been amazed by how mellow and well-behaved she is --
she never barks inside the house, and she learned basic commands really
quickly. We have been having so much fun with her, whether it's laying
around the house or playing at the dog run -- she is always up for
anything. We seriously could not have asked for a better dog -- thanks
so much to Animal Haven and Monster Mutt for bringing us together. |

||
| Here you see a picture of a very scruffy looking Orle. He likes to "perch" on this rock at the dog park. None of the other dogs can climb as he does. Not sure if he's part cat or goat!!! Orle
visits this 40 acre fully fenced in dog walk every day (sometimes
twice a day). He runs at least 3 miles around. He has
traveled to Orle is thriving in the Hamptons and hopes all his old buddies at Animal Haven have done as well as he has. We make him very happy and he makes us very happy. Thank you again for all the love you showed him during his stay with you. Keep up the good work. |

It
all started with a newsletter from the Baroness, a link to your site
and her photo. I was only going to make a contribution to Animal Haven
but I said to myself,"Let's see what the cats look like."
I already had a stray that I'd taken in as a kitten so I wasn't sure
how she'd get along with another cat. But, it didn't mean that I could't
look around. The first thing that struck me about Phoebe, who was called "Bootsie" at the time, was the curiosty she displayed to the photorapher. The photo came out a slighly fish-eyed because she was investigating the camera instead of simply posng or laying around; what personality! Plus,I looked into those green eyes and thought she was the most beautiful cat I'd seen in a long time. When I called the shelter to inquire about her, my eart was touched to find out that she'd been there for 5 years, being passed over for younger cats and kittens. "How could anyone pass on a sweet face like hers," I thought as I shed a silent tear for the cat I was now convinced was simply waiting for me to adopt. I went to the shelter to meet her and I recall how they held her and how frightened she was to be held but not violently so; she just cried without fighting. (She has since become accustomed to me picking her up for brief periods of time without fear). I was struck right there by how peaceful she was for having first been feral then having been institutionalized for so long. Time to move full steam ahead with making Bootsie, Phoebe. After getting all the paperwork out of the way, it was time for Phoebe to come home. I was worried that she might hide for a few days, but as soon as they took her out of the carrier, she made herself right at home. She's been my constant companion ever since and has been a joy to own. Phoebe is such a sweet, loving cat I can't even imagine her surviving on the streets of New York those early years. A year and a half later and Phoebe is entering my office as I type this. She's stretching and waiting for an opening to hop up into my lap. I'll stop here so I can adjust myself to make room for her and to count my blessings for having her in my life. |

| We adopted OG and Shadow (formerly Vince and Drama) in Jan 07. Our lives have not been the same since. They are the best! They love to run all around the house and then take nice long naps! OG and Shadow are the Best pets (kids) ever!!! We can't picture our lives without them them!!! | ![]() |

We adopted Little Loui (Pop) from you after Hurricane Katrina. We just celebrated his two year birthday - April 1, 2007 (April Fools Day!!!). Since he was sick after everything he went through, we gave him round the clock care and our vet was very generous in her care, as she was very happy that we adopted him. He was six months old and less then four pounds. Now, he is two years old and just about 12 pounds. He is an amazing cat. While he does still have some PTSD symptoms (post traumatic stress disorder), he really has become King of the household. He and our older cat Paddy took right away and they are best buddies. They look alike except paddy is bigger. Our other cat- interesting enough named Katerina- really gave him a very hard time. It seemed that his fate was to be tortured by "things" named Katerina!!!!!!!!!! Now they get along well enough and I think that each day they get closer and closer. Just to let you know, Little Loui came to us wth a Louisianna Meow and continues to have one now. He is quite a Southern Gentleman as well!!!! I wanted to let you know that we are thrilled with the wonderful work your organization does.
| Just wanted to bring you up to speed on how Sugar Cookie, now Roxie, is doing. We actually call her Rock Star, but Roxie will is her official name. She has been wonderful. She has gotten adjusted to our potty training methods. She and Charlie seem to be co-habitating pretty well. She likes to go outside for walks, but it’s next to impossible to walk her at the same time as Charlie. Charlie likes to run around the block, whereas she likes to stop and sniff every single inch on our block. The good news is we have found a workaround… on weekends, we take the both of them out to a nearby park and we all exercise on the track. For whatever reason, she does not stop and sniff when we are there. She will walk at a pretty fast pace, for several laps around the track, stopping only to do her deeds and drink her water. I think it’s a great walking alternative on the weekends, and think it will help with her overall health and hopeful weight loss. She went to the groomer’s about three weeks ago and did great. I have also been in touch with Charlie’s breeder, she runs a parade in July for rescued Shih Tzus and wants us to sign her up. In the meanwhile, I have attached a photo we took on Friday pre-bath. |

We lost our beloved dog "Harry" over a year ago. He was our family member for over eleven years. After the long mourning process, we thought hard about getting a new dog. This time, we decided to rescue and save a dog, as opposed to going to a breeder (Harry came from a breeder). We wanted to express our love and share our home with a sweet, innocent abandoned dog. After several unsuccessful visits to shelters and animal leagues in the area, Animal Haven alerted us about a beautiful 15-month old cocker spaniel. Just from looking at her happy face in her Animal Haven photo, we had a good sense that she would be affectionate, tender and adoring. Only days later, when we met her at the Animal Haven "mobile adoption van" she spoke to our hearts! (Sun-shine) now Lucy, as we named her, bonded with us from the moment she was delivered to our home. With her presence, our family is complete once again and a major absence has been filled. Lucy is bright, loving and her temperament is delicious and playful. Our personal veterinarian was very pleased with our selection, too. We are truly blessed that Lucy is now a delightful addition to our household and we are thankful that she has found a comfortable and warm home with us. WE LOVE LUCY!!! And WE LOVE ANIMAL HAVEN for making this real!! |
||
| Lucy
is a wonderful, I mean truly wonderful dog. She
is the only girl dog in our family of five dogs and she is spoiled...
but then again, all of our pups are! Her hind legs are somewhat
sensitive still, maybe you remember that she had a broken leg when she
was found abandoned in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and it was
pinned for a short while. She certainly doesn't let that stop
her though.
Not
long after, I brought her home to Minnesota from Animal Haven when
one day her right ear began to turn upwards and as you can see in
the photo it makes her even more adorable!
Thanks
again for your response and for all you and the staff there do for
animals! |

Duke (formerly Malcolm) became a part of my life in April of 2006 and since then we have grown to be best friends. Duke's a hit in my building and at the dog park, where he will play for endless hours, typically wearing me out before himself. The amazing thing is how his charm broke down my parents, who weren't dog people... but now call Duke their granDOG and spoil him toys, treats and affection every opportunity they get. Not only has Duke found his forever home, but with Duke I have found my Forever best-friend. I am eternally grateful to the Animal Haven Shelter for pairing the two of us and helping to make my family and life complete. Every minute is a blessing, thanks again.

I adopted Penny (formerly Meagan) in April 2004. She is a wonderful dog so happy and healthy. When I first got her, she was shy, sacred and had lost most of her fur and now look at her! She is so lovable and has brought so much enjoyment to my life...thank you. Here are some pictures and one of my niece giving her a big hug!
| We adopted 2 cats in Oct. named Spanky and Darla...who we renamed Jack and Remy. I am so pleased that we got to take the two of them home. They adjusted right away, and have never lost their love for each other. Although the female has won the dominant role. They are loving, and have never had an accident in the house or destroyed anything. I really feel that the people at your organization really care about their animals, seeing how well behaved our cats had arrived. They had a wonderful Christmas, and has claimed the Christmas tree as their hide out. I just wanted to thank you, and all the wonderful people who work there. | ![]() |

Beagelino (formerly Doc) is a wonderful addition to our family. He is a blessing and a source of immense happiness for all and everyone of us. He is very popular at the Parker Imperial (my building) and my neighbors have been following his progress from the shy nervous, dog he was almost 3 months ago to the lovable character he's become. He has made me make human and canine friends at the park. But, above all, he is my buddy and I will be forever grateful to Animal Haven for having saved him and for letting me be his forever guardian.
| Patches is a talkative, loving, male orange tabby that I adopted
from Animal Haven in September of 2005. I originally intended to sponsor
a cat because of my allergy concern. I immediately fell in love with
Patches when I saw his picture on your website. Despite my allergies
(which, incidentally, have been just fine on Zyrtec) and his FIV positivity,
I decided to adopt him. Even from just a picture, I knew there was something
special about him and that we were meant for each other. Patches has changed my life profoundly. He is remarkably intelligent and incredibly funny. He loves to talk to me, take naps on my belly, or go on shoulder rides for as long as my muscles hold out! He is so healthy and vibrant and I feel certain that we have plenty more years left together! I urge anyone who reads this to not disregard a cat just because it is FIV+. I don't know how long we have together but what is important is the joy and love we bring to each other right now. |

It has been almost 3 years since we adopted Chico from Animal Haven Flushing. When we got him he was 8 years old, covered in hair, full of spunk, yet a little shy and sometimes snippy. I am happy to report, not anymore; he loves to cuddle, play, and give kisses! He is the greatest thing to ever happen to us and I am so thankful for Animal Haven's services.
| Dear friends at Animal Haven, I just wanted to give
you an update on Elvis, who I adopted in May. Elvis
has made remarkable progress since he first came to live with me. He
passed his basic obedience training, and is a very good boy. Until he finds things with pom-poms and stuffing. :) He is such a mush. He loves to play with all his toys and visit with neighbors. But his favorite thing is to go to the park and run around with all of his friends. He is very social and likes other dogs, people and kids and makes "the rounds" quite often making sure to say hello to everyone. He is quite a character, and I am very glad he came into my life. Attached is a picture of Elvis enjoying his favorite activity. (Elvis is the tan one!) Best Wishes to all- Julie and Elvis |

It's hard to believe
my new kitties have only been living with me for a little over a month now,
it feels like they have always been a part of my life. I adopted Darren
and Cracker, who now goes by the name "Slinky" in August
of 2006 and they have adjusted to their new home with flying colors.
As you can see from the photo, they are inseparable and love to curl
up and cuddle together. Some of their favorite things to do include sitting
on the window ledge together watching the birds fly by, grooming
eachother and wrestling- they enjoy racing through the apartment together
at top speed. I can sit and watch them play for hours, it's wonderful.
Darren also seems to be very fascinated with the bathtub and the drip
from the shower, whenever he appears with a wet head I know where he's
been, it's really adorable. Just like my last cat, Skully, who
passed away a couple of months ago, these two new guys are every bit
as loved and spoiled. I wouldn't have it any other way. They know my
work schedule and are always waiting at the door when I get home to
greet me, they are just too sweet for words. I cannot thank Animal Haven
enough for their help and for providing such a fantastic temporary home
for all the cats and dogs until they get their forever homes. Thank
you again for my fantastic babies, I love them!!!
Warm wishes from,
Renee,
Darren & Slinky |

Dear AH, Treo has made herself right at home. She and Jinx have fallen in love
and are inseparable. They spend hours each day playing and cuddling,
as seen in the picture. She loves playing with her toys, going to

| As
you can see Orle (short for Orleans, his name was James
with AH) is thriving. He has grown to about 35 pounds. He is simply
the best dog. He loves to run with other dogs and run and wrestle.
He loves running on the beach (and swimming no matter how cold or
rough). We refer to him as happy. He actually smiles. Orle and his
new sister Maya really get along well. Orle is Not an alpha dog at
all and Maya takes full advantage to that.
Orle is just a lover. He seems to sense when you are feeling low and he will climb on your lap and let you pet him. When you look at him all you can do is smile. He has brought a lot of love into our lives. I cannot thank all of you for all the wonderful care you gave to him. I hope you enjoy the pictures. -Colleen |

| Yuki (now Dot) is doing very well and seems to have decided that this is really her home. She has a good appetite, does all of her bathroom business outdoors on walks, lies quietly in my office while I'm working, and sleeps soundly in our bed all night. She knows "sit" and is now learning "stay." "Off" and "down" are not in her vocabulary yet, but we'll get there. Oddly, she doesn't play at all. We keep bringing home different toys, all of which she completely ignores. The cat, however, thinks they're great sport, so all's not lost! | ![]() |

I adopted “Parker” (from the litter with Manning, Cubby, etc.) on January 28th, and we are doing very well! She is simply the greatest puppy ever! | I have to say that Richard never ceases to amaze me. He is so well adjusted and behaved. I took him to a small apartment party last weekend and he mingled better than most people I know, going from group to group, gently checking everyone out, sucking up any attention that was given to him, enjoying the occasional raw carrot I let people feed him. Yesterday we went to a friend's house in the suburbs where they have a 2 year old toddler, and Richie was so respectful, he would very gently approach the child and give him a little sniff, never once pushing or getting in the kid's way. He is also a natural agility dog. When we walk by a row of empty park benches he jumps up, runs across the bench, jumps down and back up onto the next bench, all without breaking stride. He just started doing this on his own without any encouragement. He loves to hurdle bushes and walls. Walk across narrow objects. And he can do this amazing four legged hop while standing still, especially if he's trying to get another dog to play with him. | ![]() |

I have been meaning to write

She is doing exceptionally well and is much loved by all, even Molly our smaller chocolate lab seems to have made a special bond with her. Kayliah (formerly “Wiggles”-front and center of photo) is doing WONDERFULLY! She’s now 8 months old and smart as a whip, extremely agile & playful, very well-behaved, and admired throughout my neighborhood. She had some very big paws to fill, as my two other dogs who have both passed away, Bailey & Kahlúa (Kayliah’s name is a tribute to them, as it’s a combination of their names), were neighborhood fixtures. While different from them in many ways, at the same time, she possesses various traits they each had, like Bailey’s athleticism and Kahlúa’s love of food, confirming to me that they meant for Kayliah & I to find each other and be together.
| Sadly,
we had recently lost the last of our three senior cats when we heard
about Animal Haven from a neighbor who adopted a dog last year. Tommie
and Morris came to live with us right before the holidays in 2005.
They have brought much joy into our lives. Tommie (Tom on the web-site)
was advertised as being a Maine Coon mix. There is no doubt about
it. He has the body, coat, and sweet outgoing personality of a Coon.
And check out that tail!! It is hard to believe he grew up in a shelter.
Now about 9 months old, he totally energizes our middle-aged household,
including his brother Morris, who is a 3 or 4-year-old marmalade tabby
with light brown frosting on the tips of his fur like a lion. Morris
is on the shy side but holds his own with the rambunctious Tommie
and is gradually coming out of his shell. We are grateful to Animal
Haven for their wonderful care of these two sweethearts and for making
it so easy to adopt them. Patricia Gottier & Bruce Kaufmann |

| Ryan and I have a new addition
to our family - meet Norman! Ryan and I adopted Norman from an
animal shelter in NY that recently rescued doggies from New Orleans
and needed to make room for their new arrivals. My mom flew Norman to
San Diego from NY on Saturday and we've been showering him with love
and attention ever since. He
is an amazing doggie-he's about 1 1/2 years old, so he still has a
lot of puppy in him, and needs a lot of exercise. Right now he's pooped
out on his bed watching TV with Ryan. He's a lover that's for sure,
and always greets friends with a kiss and an invitation to scratch
his belly. I hope you all get to meet him soon! |

| We adopted Marley from Animal Haven in the fall of 2003 and our lives haven't been the same since. Marley is the friendliest dog we've ever had and her gentle touch with children is truly remarkable. We lived with Marley in NYC for roughly two years before we got married and were subsequently relocated to London. Marley is our life and the thought of moving without her never crossed our minds despite the incredible challenges in relocating pets to the UK. Animal Haven was extremely helpful in getting her documentation in order and after a long flight Marley is doing great and enjoying her new city. Thank you again for saving our girl she's the light of our life and despite having to share a bed, and sometimes my pillow, we will always be indebted to the Animal Haven and the entire staff. | ![]() |

Yesterday we took Mac on a 9-mile hike through Harriman State Park through one of Outdoor Bound's "Hike & Hound" events. He had SO much fun running around with Dot and Griffin, the other two dogs who hiked with us. I was told that Griffin is currently at AH and Dot is from Stray from the Heart - they are both currently being fostered. Also, last time I spoke w/ Fred, he'd said that I should take Mac to the dog run more than 3-4 times a week so that his energy level would be a bit lower and he wouldn't . It took me a while, but I eventually mustered the willpower to start waking up at 6 am to bring him to the park in the mornings before work. He loves it and it gives me a chance to really wake up and get some exercise. So thanks for the advice! Also, thanks for allowing us to adopt this great doggie - he brings so much happiness into our lives and we love having him as part of our family. I hope that all is going well at Animal Haven.
| This is Bosco. I adopted him from your shelter in March 2003 when he was about 9 weeks old. He came from a litter of 6 puppies. In January 2004 he was diagnosed with Renal T-Cell Lymphoma. One of his kidneys was removed and he went through six months of intense chemotherapy. As of now, he is in complete remission. We will be heading back to his doctor at the end of December for a check up. This little guy will be 3 in January and has been through so much this past year. No matter what, though, he still managed to keep his spirits high, never letting anyone know he had cancer. He is, though, a little more spoiled now than ever. I don't care how many socks he chews as long as he is around to chew them! Let's just keep our fingers crossed that he remains in remission for many more years to come. I just want to thank Animal Haven for giving me the chance to give Bosco a second chance at life. | ![]() |

| My name is Mischa, aka "Texanna". Looking back, it seems like it was only yesterday that you have introduced me to my parents and now we are a happy family of three. As I can remember, in the beginning, there were a lot of "NO", then of course like every normal parents, they spend endless hours of teaching and training me how to "BEHAVE: LIKE A LADY". Mom would tell me that when they brought me home, Dad would spend sleepless nights on rocking chair with me just to make sure that I can fall to sleep. Since then, I have matured and even mastered the "house rules" of keeping the house clean. In addition, my parents also have taught me the values and rewards of social responsibilities. My skills involve socializing with the people in our neighborhood especially the children and elders. To make the children happy, I would "SIT/DOWN" at their command and allow them to caress me. The children gets excited and I enjoy their company as well. With the elders, I have already made a lot of friends since childhood. Our routine is to meet every mornings and evenings and we converse about everything, but mostly "ABOUT ME... Mischa, Mischa, Mischa". At home, like every family with a teenage girl, we discuss about my health, vacation spots and new skills. Oh, and help around the house. Regardless, I like staying home and watching my favorite two favorite shows: Oprah and Food channel. I am 11th months old now soon to be celebrating my one year old birthday with my family. I am happy and feel very lucky that my life is filled with joy and treats everday. Thank you again for everything. Hope you enjoy the pictures of us; me and my family. | ![]() |

| This
year, we adopted two of your beautiful cats, first Lily and then Brady
(formerly Brad). We are so pleased to say it has been a rewarding experience
for us and the cats are thriving. Brady is bringing out Lily's playful
side and keeping her active and in shape. Lily is now 2 yrs old and
Brady is going to be 8 months old. They are buddies and will happily
share a window. Thank you so much for everything! In the pictures provided,
Brady is on the left, and Lily is on the right. |

| I just thought I would drop you a short note to tell you how happy we are with our little Squire and what a joy he is to have around. He has gained some weight and is now about 15 pounds. It took all of 5 minutes for him to find his favorite spot on the big chair looking out the window and a few minutes more to make himself at home in our hearts. He may not like other dogs, but as long as he loves us we can take what comes. His favorite toy is a soft squeaky ball. He will toss the ball into the air and catch it, then run around with it and jump up on this chair and throw it on the floor to chase again! He will sometimes give the ball to you to throw, but mostly he plays alone. He still won’t eat dog food, so we grind up dry dog food and mix it in his hamburgers or sprinkle it over his boiled chicken, so he gets the nutrition he needs that way. I can’t understand how anyone could not want this sweet little guy and to be so cruel as to tie him to a tree. Well their loss is out gain! Thanks for finding him for us! | ![]() |

I adopted Trinity (formerly known as Brandy) in 2002 and she was the first and ONLY dog I saw at Animal Haven. It seems as if I fell in love at first sight beacause she has been the apex of my love and affection since then. Trinity was seven years old then, but in my eyes, she looked like a new born pup with big brown eyes that you could swim in. Now adays, she leads the life of a true princess. She consumes the entire house with traces of her fur and has two beds..one in the living room that we refer to as her "studio" and one in our bedroom, the "apartment." She often lounges on our beige Italian leather sofa but we don't mind as long as she's wagging her tail and absorbing the sunlight. She gets to eat home prepared snacks and meals (carrots and chicken is her favorite) and spend most of her time lounging. Trin is definately greyhound, her couch potato skills are uncanny! She is so sweet and gentle, I actually tease her to growl. Although she likes to nip my husband when he crowds the bed, after all she was here first! She's also very popular. I once took her to Rite Aid and a women who worked there ran outside and asked if she was Brandy! The women was volunteer at Animal Haven and she had recognized her immediately. Geez, can't take a celebrity like her anywhere. I would like to thank everyone at Animal Haven for all that you have given me...she is a diamond in the rough and she is my true best friend! I can't imagine a life without her and wish that I had met her sooner. Trin has brought out a side of me I can only remember of during early childhood, she has taught me to be compassionate and responsible. She is indeed the highlight of my everyday life. You have given me all that and so much more and I wish the best of luck to the members of Animal Haven and all of their "tenants." Thank you from the bottom of my heart :)
| This is Snickers relaxing on our bed-this is where I find her everyday when I get home from work! Definitely not the cutest picture of her but I'll send more. I encourage others to adopt an older dog! | ![]() |

This
is Sophie (was Ramona). Her new, loving guardian has to say
this about her: "She is a playmate to every dog and a friend to everyone.
As sweet, gentle and docile as she is at home she is as energetic,
raucous, pushy and joyfully exhausted at the Dog Run beyond what I
could imagine. I have to say that this dog has so many people who
love her and want to take care of her for me. Except for the penchant
for hiding her dog toys in my bed comforter for me to find at bedtime,
she is very respectful of all belongings. Okay, she loves my right
slipper..quite frequently. This is such a success story in every way.
Thanks to Jennifer, Marcello and you I have become one incredibly
happy woman. Sophie got me to walk 1 to 1 1/2 miles a day just with
her. She got me to take her to the Dog Run or to Central Park three
times a week. She has introduced me to countless dog friends and people
who happen to own the "friends". She has made me laugh so much and
so loud. She has made ME run after the ball that keeps getting stuck
under the sofa. She has made me into the owner SHE wants me to be.
She is one powerful dog, that Sophie." |
