Hello, my name is Arnie. I was originally rescued from a South Korean dog meat farm as part of a massive rescue effort by Humane Society International.
I’ve made small but steady progress since my arrival in the states, but I still have a long way to go. I am very nervous with most people and am working on learning to trust because I had never been shown kindness before. I’m still getting used to simple things like wearing a collar, having a leash put on me, eating regular dog food, and taking treats from people. I don’t enjoy being outdoors and prefer to remain inside where I feel safer. I need a quiet household with patient people who will help work on socialization and training exercises with me for an extended period of time.
I have been working with Animal Haven’s trainer on a regular basis and my new adopters will have access to her as well.
